We are developing a Ti:sapphire amplifier system capable of producing pulses of 60mJ, with less than 100 femtosecond pulse duration, at 30 Hz repetition rate. This chirped pulse amplification system consists of three pump lasers, one modelock fs laser, one regenerative pre-amplifier with pulse stretcher, one multi-pass amplifier, synchronization system and a pulse compressor. The total gain is up to 10⁸. It is ideal for x-ray sources and high harmonic generation.
